"From the first meeting with our contact person at Van der Valk Hotel Nijmegen-Lent, we felt very welcome and there was plenty of collaboration regarding our wishes, with solutions provided where necessary.
The hospitality and service were evident from the opportunity to view the various spaces several times and get a feel for them, which made us feel quite at home on the big day. This certainly contributed to an unforgettable day!
On the wedding day, we didn't have to think about anything ourselves, and everything was arranged down to the finest details. There was also plenty organized for the children present, including a craft table and, of course, treats.
After the wedding, we stayed overnight at the hotel and the next morning received an extensive breakfast in the room, which looked very festive.
"Thank you for this fantastic and unforgettable day!"

"In December 2019, my husband and I tied the knot. We chose the Van der Valk hotel Nijmegen-Lent as the location, where we held both the wedding ceremony and the celebration.
Our wedding adventure began with an introductory meeting, and we also had the chance to view the reception hall and ceremony room. We instantly fell in love with hall 1, where the buffet area is hidden behind a flexible wall. This wall was slid away when the buffet was ready, so our guests didn't notice the preparation and clearing of the buffet. When it turned out we needed more space in the hall, this was solved for us by adding an extra room to our reception hall.
While planning and organizing, I could always turn to Chantal with my questions, and all email contact was also through her. Additionally, I could always indicate if I needed extra coordination moments besides our physical meetings.
I was not the easiest bride, everything was organized to the last detail and I had trouble letting go on the day itself. However, I had nothing to worry about, Chantal and Koen and all the other colleagues made sure that the afternoon and evening went exactly as I had described in our script! From the ceremony until the end of the party. They really listened during our preparatory meetings, which is why everything went so well!
Additionally, I received a lot of compliments from our guests about the live cooking arrangement! The buffet was so beautifully extensive, there was something for everyone. Food is very important in both of our cultures, so it was wonderful to hear so many lovely compliments! Our guests with special dietary needs received a large plate with an extensive and varied menu. And the little ones who were hungry earlier received their food sooner. So there was extra personal attention for the guests who needed it!
All in all, we look back on a dream wedding, from the first introductory meeting there was full attention to our wishes and creating our dream wedding. Due to the good experience, we look forward to organizing our future parties again at Van der Valk. We would therefore recommend everyone to organize their wedding at Van der Valk Nijmegen Lent!"

"Very soon after the marriage proposal, we started making plans for our wedding. We live in Nijmegen and didn't want to get married too far from home, we also have family members who live further away from Nijmegen. We wanted them to be able to stay overnight too, so a hotel that could also organize parties was high on our list.
Pieter had once attended an evening conference at Van der Valk Hotel Nijmegen-Lent. We started to explore online and found that this location met almost all our requirements. It was nearby, they organize parties including weddings, there is the option to stay overnight, and it is also excellently accessible by public transport (Station Nijmegen-Lent is right next to the hotel). For us, this immediately seemed like a good option, so we contacted the hotel by email.
We quickly received a message back that they were eager to help us, and we made an appointment at the hotel. With Lisette, who works in the hotel's sales department, we discussed all possibilities. At that moment, we only had rough ideas, but we got a good picture of what was possible! However, everything was subject to the current corona measures, which could change at any moment.
In the following months, we started arranging a lot of other things, including a photographer, wedding venue, location for the photos, etc. We met several more times at the hotel to further shape and detail the dinner buffet and the evening party. The communication was easy-going, we always got quick responses via email, and in person at the hotel, it clicked well, allowing us to arrange many things quickly.
The wedding date (October 1, 2021) was approaching, and we had everything regarding the buffet and party on paper. It just depended on what would be allowed or not due to the corona rules. Therefore, we had also made a plan B (and plan C) for situations where less would be allowed. During that period, we had to keep short lines of communication, and that went very well. In the end, we were lucky that, apart from having to stop at midnight and needing to use the corona check app, there were no further measures, and the full party, including the band, was possible!
Ultimately, we had a superb wedding, everything went according to plan. We were also able to perfectly follow the pre-planned moments and times at van der Valk, and there were no unexpected issues to spoil the fun. The cake was delicious, the buffet was perfectly organized, delightful and beautifully presented. Lisette even stopped by to check if everything was going well and to congratulate us. During dinner, the band could set up everything in the party hall, and once we finished eating, the party could begin there. The drinks flowed abundantly, everyone enjoyed themselves, and there was plenty of dancing. For many, it was the first party in a long time, as was the case for the band. At midnight, the guests contentedly went to their rooms, and we had the ‘Suite in the Clouds,’ which is a true recommendation for all future couples!
The next morning we had a nice breakfast buffet together with the guests who had stayed overnight. It was plentiful and delicious. After everyone had checked out, everyone went home again.
We couldn't have wished for a better location! After the first contact, we didn't think about looking for another location (as backup). The contact was accessible and pleasant, our wishes were heard, and suggestions were made if we weren't exactly sure. Van der Valk also contacted the band we arranged to smoothly coordinate everything in terms of logistics, which all went smoothly in the end.
So for all couples considering Van der Valk Hotel Nijmegen-Lent as their wedding venue: it is highly recommended! And even though we had the wedding ceremony elsewhere, that is also possible at Van der Valk.
You will never have to worry about whether everything is well arranged and if the food will be delicious and if there's enough drink, because there certainly is! We are glad we chose this way and look back on a fantastic wedding that we would do all over again in exactly the same way!"

"From the first contact with Van der Valk, we felt the personal attention and were able to shape our wedding dinner and reception just as we envisioned. They took away a lot of stress and gave us the feeling that everything would be alright. They fulfilled this a hundred percent, and we look back on a very special wedding and a carefree dinner. Our most beautiful memory was the farewell song and then going up in the elevator to the bridal suite with a phenomenal view."
